My name is Carly and I am a mother, creator of mirrors and cards and blogger from Brisbane, Australia.
My life has been effected by domestic and family violence since I was a child. This blog is my journey after descovering exactly what it looks like and my attempts to create different relationships in my life.
I have been met with challenges such as suffering from complex post-traumatic stress, major depressive disorder, complex anxiety disorder, agoraphobia, boarderline personality disorder, all forms of domestic and family violence and more.
I do not want to be seen as a victim, more as a survivor. This is why I have decided to do what I can to help children recognise what domestic and family violence looks like through projects under my company which I started in August 2019, Healthy Family Dynamics Pty Ltd. Domestic violence in childhood shapes the way a person behaves in their adult relationships and the types of partner they find so having children recognise what it looks like is the first step in reducing the rates in Australia.
